1/2 cup Montreal steak seasoning or coffee rub
6 shallots peeled and sliced juilienne
1/4 cup balsamic
2 TBSP soy sauce
1 cup red cooking wine
1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
2 TBSP corn starch
Water
Preheat your oven to 350
Apply dry rub to your roast
Place shallots on the bottom of your roaster/Pyrex/ 9x13 tin and then place French roast on top
Pour balsamic, soy sauce, red wine, and water into the tin
Cover and bake for 2 hours
Pour liquid and shallots in the sauce pan
Add sugar
In a superset contains mix corn start with a little water to make a slurry
Bring liquid to a boil then slowly add and mix the slurry until desire thickness
Allow the roast to cook then slice against the grain.
Pour red wine shallots sauce on top
